Review of Talon, On The Wing by Gisela Sedlemayer

The second installment of the Talon series by Gisela starts quite strong, with clear imagery of Matica flying on her beloved Condor friend, Talon.
The sweetness of the first book is not lost, and On The Wing never steers from the messages from the first. The passion that Gisela feels passes through the pages; it is clear that she wants no one to forget her dream for everyone to be accepted, and that no one forgets there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Not to forget the obvious care for the environment, of course!

Although this is yet to be picked up by a publisher, it deserves recognition for the time and effort spent on continuing this sweet tale of a young girl and her Condor friends. I wish the best for Gigi in the search for a publisher, not only for this but also the third installment, which I shall be reviewing in a couple weeks.

  1. This is a talented, sensitive writer who creates vivid characters, structural technicalities and twists and turns that engage the reader. Her characters are loveable. She should find a publisher but in today's world she should consider self publishing and just get on with it.

  2. TALON, COME FLY WITH ME was self-published, but the company she used has upped their prices since then and Gisela can, unforunately, no longer afford to pay their asking price. I haven't looked in to pricing for self publishing, but I'm pretty sure that she's had a thorough look of her own accord. If I remember correctly self-publishing caused her quite a deal of stress that she doesn't want to have to deal with this time. I am aware that any publishing is stressful, but Gisela has her reasons. I personally wish there was more I could do to help her, but the only publishing companies I'm in contact with deal with adult novels, not ones for younger audiences.

  3. Thank you, though, for the comment. I'm sure Gisela appreciates the time.
